National Geographic published on its fan page in Facebook and on its website video.nationalgeographic.com a video of the explorer Nizar Ibrahim looking for dinosaur fossils on the north of Africa. On the video you can see the story of how he was able to find  fossils of Spinosaurus.

If you have said "I want to use my cellphone as webcam" I recommend you the application Mobiola. That is the one that I have used for a couple of years until now and it has demonstrated acceptable quality, though I believe the resolution of the video would be better but it can also deppends on the mobile device that you use. It allows you to use different sizes for the video. The advantage of using your cellphone as a web cam is that you can move the device in a more free way than the regular web cams that are connected to the USB port. Mobiola allows you to connect the mobile device through your bluetooth, Wi-Fi or regular USB connection.

Other applications that you may find useful are EpocCam and MobileWebCam. All of these applications are available for Android, iOS and other operating systems for mobile devices.

Shazam is an application that allows users to know what is the name of the song that is being played on the background of any place. For example, if I am in a bar and they play a song but I don´t know that name of it I just use Shazam and it will tell me the name of the song, the band or singer and even it will show me links to find more about the song on the web. The application is very convinient and it is available for Android, iOS and even for Symbian by Nokia.

Now, if you are looking for options that have the same cappabilities of Shazam but for your personal computer por notebook, I have here two for you. The first one is called Midomi. It is very simple: you just press a button and make sure that the microphone of your computer is up and running. Then the application, which works totally online, will tell you the name of the song. It can be find at Midomi.com. The other option is the application Tunatic. It does not work online which means that you will need to download and install it. It can be found on the website Wildbits.com/tunatic.
