Widget: a kind of window that performs an action in a website and it's not necessarily related to the content of the website. Well, this is a personal point of view about widgets, but, what if I tell you about a site that contains thousands of widgets, or applications, of any type and that you can add to your blog, site and so on?
And what if you can even create your own widget?
The site is Widgetbox, one of the most kind sites that I have ever visited. It is so simple and its design is minimalistic. It shows you what you can do direct in the main screen. If you need to create a widget, mark the "Make a widget" tab. On the other hand, if you want to find one, select the "Find a Widget" button and you will see tons of them.

Looking for applications in Google I got to a site called Go2web20.net. More than a site this one is an application to find applications or sites that work as applications in a very easy and direct way. For example, I wrote the words revenue sharing in the searcher of this web and appeared some sites that allows users to earn money by sharing their knowledge.
So, I click on one of these sites and I was not redirected to the respective homepage but to a review of the app or site. Once I know what does that specific site offer, I marked the Continue to site tab and then I was finally redirected to the page.
The concept of the page is so simple but effective. It reminds me of the social bookmarking sites.

Badoo.com - Friends near you
Www.badoo.com is a social networking site in which registered members can find friends near them, add photos and even vote people. Once the person has created his or her own account, he or she have access to a profile where can see people near them, take a look to visitors and perform advanced searches to find more people. In this searches users can specify if they want to find a man or a woman and also can choose the age range.
Badoo.com includes an option to appear in the first position of the Badoo list of people. This makes easier to be found by others. This list is very dynamic, so quickly other users will be in the first position.
In addition, Badoo allows users to perform the most common actions that can be done in a social network: add photos, post messages, comment photos and find new friends. It also gives an option to vote photos of other members. It allows people to obtain popularity in Badoo.
