Liverpool beats Newcastle 3 - 1 : the great Gerrard

Gerrad had his day after a hard year where he spent more time recovering from injuries than playing. He gave his teammates excellent assists and scored one goal to lead Liverpool win against Newcastle 3 to 1 in the Barclays Premier League of England.

The first half of the match was characterized by a very reserved Newcastle which only forward, Demba Ba, was enough to make one goal in a play when the Liverpool's defender, Agger, made a big mistake and scored an own goal.

Then Liverpool started attack in a more intense way but with lack of order. Anyway Bellami appeared to draw the match before the rest.

On the second half Liverpool was having the same problems than on the first one until Steven Gerrard entered at 60 minutes. He began to demonstrate his magestic skills and gave his teammate Carrol two passes that this was not able to resolve.

Then it come a free kick in which Gerrard wanted to hit the ball, but Bellamy told him he was the one that was going to score with that option. It happened, Bellamy shot in a good way and also the goalkeeper and one defender were not able reach the shot.

Gerrard appeared one again to score with a effective shot in which he was on a hard angle.

3 to 1 was the final result of this match. Now Liverpool has 34 points and Newcastle got stuck on 30 points on the Barclays Premier League 2011 - 2012.
